As Son Lux, Lott composed the original motion picture score for The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby starring James McAvoy and Jessica Chastain. The score included the new track “No Fate Awaits Me,” performed by the composer with Faux Fix.
“I think the most exciting thing for me was working on the score with the composer Son Lux aka Ryan Lott,” director Ned Benson said in a statement. “Ryan and his collaborators made instruments for the film, and he had the beautiful idea after watching an early cut to use objects that exist within the space of the scenes and create instruments based on them so they feel germane to the story.”
